  54.    Say there are 3 stations on the same freq using 1200b tncs - A, B and
  55. C. A and B can talk to each other.  B and C can talk to each other.
  56. During night time hours, A and C can talk to each other.  Will either
  57. RIP or RSPF automatically change the routing between A and C as
  58. conditions change?
  59.    Now assume that the marginal path between A and C is a 9600b, 440
  60. path and that the solid path of A - B - C is a 1200b path. Does this
  61. have any effect on either RIP or RSPF? Thanks.

  81. Also gcc, MIPS C, VAX C.  I tried them all!  :) The bug is unbalanced
  82. parentheses in some of the macros near the start of the code.  Fix four
  83. lines so they look like this:  (a) = ROTATE_LEFT ((a), (s)); \ and you will
  84. have beautiful 286-able .exe's.

  99. I have uploaded a new version of WAMPES (wampes-930623) to UCSD.EDU.

  101. This version fixes a problem with newer versions of Linux UUCPs.

  103. I want to point out that people from within Hewlett  Packard may get the
  104. newest WAMPES version  anytime by ninstalling it from  mdddhd.fc.hp.com,
  105. or by anonymous ftp from mdddhd.fc.hp.com.

  111. wampes-930623.tar.Z  (compressed) and wampes-930623.tar.gz (gzipped) are
  112. tar archives of WAMPES,  which is a NET/NOS port to HP-UX.  It currently
  113. supports HP 9000 series 300, 400, 700, and 800 computers,  running HP-UX
  114. 08.xx or HP-UX 09.xx.

  116. I ported  WAMPES to SunOS  4.1.2 and to 386BSD  0.1.34,  and it compiles
  117. there, but I do not have  enough  time to really  test it.  Feedback  is
  118. welcome.

  120. WAMPES was ported to Linux running on a 386 by Olaf Erb, dc1ik.  He also
  121. ported it to ULTRIX  4.2A on a  Decstation  5000 with gcc  2.3.3, but it
  122. wasn't tested properly, too.  Comments and questions about the Linux and
  123. Ultrix      port     of     WAMPES      please     to     Olaf      Erb,

  146. This is the  documentation  for the RISC iX  (Acorn  R260  etc)  port of
  147. DK5SG's Wampes.

  149. To install it, unpack the archive in a directory  named /tcp.  Then copy
  150. the files *.R into  /usr/lib  (you must be root of  course).  Then cd to
  151. /tcp/src,  run make  (without  arguments...)  and  ignore  the  compiler
  152. warnings...

  154. To compile convers, cd to /tcp/convers and run make.

  156. I hope, the port is 100 percent correct.  It works here at least :-)

  178. I just tried to reduce code size, using MD5C.C taken from RFC 1321.
  179. Seems I gained 5.6kB (compiler TC 2.0), 8086 code is even shorter
  180. (about 850 bytes) than your 386 assembly code in MD5.C r1.5.
  181. Of course, speed is worse now - by factor 1.65 compared to the MD5C.
  182. Quite good when speed is not important and code size critical.  73's

  191. I work with PA0GRI's NOS version (2.0m) and I wish to use the
  192. print services built in source code. Naturally I compiled the executable
  193. with the client and server LPD .
  194. I think all is right , but I do not know how to operate with LPD.
  195. I can imagine the I have to attach the asyncronous com port with "raw" mode,
  196. but can I use the parallel port ? if yes , How?
  197. And then how can initialize the print server lpd apart to give nos the
  198. command "start lpd"?
  199. The documentation is lack about that , so I wonder if someone has
  200. experience on it.
